Did you know that over 40% of adults in the Highlands Volunteer?

With our busy lives it can be hard to find time to volunteer. However, the benefits of volunteering are enormous to you, your family, and your community. Finding the right opportunity can help reduce stress, make new friends, improve your local community, learn new skills, and even improve your career. Giving to others can also help improve your mental and physical health.

Tips for getting started:
First of all, ask yourself if there is something specific you want to do. ?
For example
Do I want….

  • to meet new people
  • to gain confidence
  • to try something new
  • to do something positive with my spare time
  • to help make a difference in peoples lives
  • to have a go at the type of work I might want to do as a job
  • to do more with my interests and hobbies
  • to do something I’m good at
At RVA we try and match your interests and expectations to help you find the volunteering opportunity that suits you.
